I am interested in objects and ideas that exist concurrently in physical and digital realms.

Quilts were traditionally used as memory holders and a way to hand down history. In Historical Quilt, I take excerpts of my Google search history to embroider on textiles of family significance, arranged in a personal, non-linear narrative. It is left unbound in areas where I foresee a need to know more, and fixed together in areas to keep me warm through knowing.

These days I don't need to know or remember - it's all a phone tap away. This piece is both an ode to physical records of history and a speculation on future traditions.

In an effort to quantify my relatability, each term is indexed by colour in accordance with how many other people searched each term in the space of a month.
